Day 107: Cindercone, Lassen national Park

Try climbing up a 600 foot gravel pile to the sky, over the span of a mile plus. If you aren’t out of breath, you are dead. Yet the view and the feeling were unmatchable. I am so glad that I have decided to take advantage of the sites only a short way off this long trail that would otherwise be quite a distance in themselves. Even though it takes time out of my day and reduces my total mileage goals, these treasures along America’s spine are not to be missed. It is this, as well as the trail, as well as the towns between, as well as the people, that make up the PCT experience.
